![]() I don't remember why, obviously wasn't cause of Dredmor, but I am sure I had a good reason, and I am sure I'll figure it out just as soon as one of my saves get corrupted or something.īut if you want DoD to sync your mods, you have to have cloud on. Oh, totally! I had my Steam Cloud disabled. ![]() I don't think that it affects everyone, but if it does affect you, you will know it by hair loss and bloody fingernails (also, this isn't the only game that it affects - I had the same issues with Civ 5, for example). Originally posted by Haldurson:Just so you know, there are other problems that have caused many of us to totally disable the steam cloud (such as save file corruption, old files overwriting newer ones, and so on). But before I tell you about the fix, I want to make sure you all understand this very simple concept: Originally posted by uranusthebeatpoet (Uey):So just had this problem after forever and ever of not playing this game, and there is a fix. It's in Steam -> Settings -> Cloud and the box you want to make sure is checked is in front of "Enable Steam Cloud synchronization for applications which support it."ħ.) Load DoD, when prompted, tell Steam you'd like to upload local content to the Cloud, not the other way aroundĨ.) Wait while Steam does it's thing (took about 5 mins on my comp, so be patient) Lota misplaced agression here, when Steam is the real problem.Ģ.) Go to wherever your mods are kept (usually /user/YOURUSERNAME/mydocuments/gaslampgames/dungeonsofdredmor/steamworkshop/subscribedĥ.) Load DoD, go to mods tab, mods should now load, but they have to check every time you load the game (aka, they won't auto-load), Close DoD after checking that it's worked up till this point.Ħ.) Go to Steam Settings, turn ON cloud syncing (sadly, you have to do this for all games, can't be selective). Gaslamp Games and DoD have absolutely nothing to do with this issue. So just had this problem after forever and ever of not playing this game, and there is a fix. Does anyone have any suggestions or a fix for this? Thanks.ĮDIT: I've tried disabling Steam Cloud and unsubbing and re-subbing to my mods while on the launcher as suggested on the forums but to no avail. My only guess is that I have so many mods that the loader simply doesnt load them or something. I have also checked to see if I am subscribed to the mods which I am. I have also tried downloading other mods for Dredmor and checking if Steam downloaded them (I have updates and downloads enabled for Dredmor) which Steam does. I have tried uninstalling and verifying game cache and none of my Workshop mods seem to be loading. The mod loader just syas "Steam Workshop: Getting subscription details". A quick look at the mod loader only shows mods I added myself (not from Steam Workshop). After firing up the game I noticed none of my mods (skills, rooms, items, or craftables) were in the game. ![]() There’ll always be our modding forum for everyone else.So after a little break from Dredmor I wanted to get back into Dredmor with a bunch of mods I had downloaded before the break. (*For values of everywhere that are on Steam, of course. This pack is for you and all the other modders out there – here’s hoping the Steam Workshop helps you get your work out to Dredmor players everywhere*. Seeing as how the whole pack is built on your scripts and designs, it could not have happened without you. Thanks guys for keeping the lid on this one for so long – and for the ridiculous amount of hard work you’ve put into this whole thing. If you would like to participate in the beta have a wander through our IRC channel. You Have To Name The Expansion Pack for Dungeons of Dredmor will be released very soon - We just need to do a couple rounds of testing and hook up all the Steam Workshop internet-pipes.
